Online LGBTQ+ Therapy in Grand Rapids, MI
Tired of explaining your gender or sexuality to your therapist?
- It’s hard enough to seek out help. You finally do, only to be invalidated or misgendered.
- Spending emotional labor educating your therapist
- Living in a small town with limited or no access to affirming therapy. We can do online therapy!
- Encountering providers who require months of therapy before accessing gender affirming care.
“Gender diversity is a natural attribute of human expression, not an illness that needs to be fixed.”
― Alok Vaid-Menon, Beyond the Gender Binary
How I can help
I am a queer and non-binary clinician. Having a therapist with similar lived experience can set the foundation in helping you live a more authentic life. My hope in sharing my identities is that you are able to have a sense of safety in a world that is often not safe for us. I will provide a space for you to unload your pain, discomfort, and stress of being LGBTQ+ in these nightmarish times. I can also support you in accessing gender affirming medical care.
LGBTQ+ Therapy can help you…
- Figure out how and who to come out to (if that is a goal)
- Explore your gender and/or sexuality. The who, what, where, when of it all.
- Process gender dysphoria
- Coming out later in life and processing that whirlwind realization!
- Maybe why you are coming to therapy has nothing to do with your gender or sexuality. You just want a therapist that “gets it.”

Embracing your queerness is a celebration of authenticity, grit, and the vibrant spectrum of human experience. It's a journey of self-discovery and self-expression, where every step forward brings greater freedom, acceptance, and connection.

Sure do! I do not gatekeep this process by requiring you to attend weeks or months of therapy. I typically provide letters in 1-2 sessions. Cost is pay what you can or free if that is needed.

Absolutely not. This is a direct violation personal and professional code of ethics and morals. Conversion therapy has been proven to not only be ineffective but harmful to clients.
